      Configuring a Section

      Sections within a space can be further configured to bring the space to life.

      Rows on this section

      Enter the number of rows you would like your content to be displayed across.

      • Input a number to determine the number of rows available.

      Tile size

      Set the size of the content within your section.

      • Choose a default tile size from the four options provided next to Size.

      • You can define a custom tile size by specifying the amount of pixels (PX) next to Width and Height.

      Templates on

      This allows you to choose from all available templates to use in your Section.

      Specify content type

      This is where you define what content you want to appear in your section.

      Section content can be made up of any of the following types:

      • Templates

      • Cards

      • Groups

      • People

      • Stories

      • Datasets

      • Organisation

      Card section example

      In this example, we use the Cards content type to populate our section:

      1. Select Configure in the top right of the Space.

      2. Select the Cog icon next to the section you would like to enable the card type on under the Sections header.

      3. Select the toggle next to Cards on to enable cards for this section. (Blue is on, grey is off).

      4. Select the toggle next to + New card button to make the new card button available to select in the section. (Blue is on, grey is off).

      5. (Optional) Input unique text for your New card’s button label, such as New note or New chart for example. Leaving this empty will leave your button label as New card.

      Now you have enabled the New card button in your section, you can now choose what card templates* are available for selection when this button is selected.

      New card template options

      • Single - You specify a single card template that will be created when the New card button is selected.

      • Multiple - You specify a selection of card templates that are available to choose from.

      • All - All card templates are available for selection.

      In this example, we choose the Multiple card template option, which three templates will be specified from. This example assumes the Cards content type has been enabled:

      1. Whilst in Configure section, scroll down to the Templates heading, which is underneath Cards.

      2. From the three options, select Multiple.

      3. Underneath the three options select + Add templates.

      4. Select the templates you want to make available to choose from when the New card button is selected and close the menu.

      When you select the New card button, you should now see a drop down of the card templates that you are able to choose from.
