How to create organisation Spaces

Enhance your organisation's navigation experience by creating and adding unique spaces to the main menu

You must have Admin permissions at organisation level to be able to perform this task.

Spaces are quick links that appear in the main menu (left side of the app) under the name of the organisation/group. They allow you to quickly navigate to a list of Cards, People, Templates, Stories, Organisations, or Groups etc. 

Creating a Space

To create a new space on your organisation/group:

  1. Locate your organisation/group in the relevant list from the menu on the left and click to open it.
  2. Click the ‘Configure’ button in the header area (top right). The Configuration panel will slide out from the right.

  3. Click the Spaces heading to expand that section.

  4. If spaces aren’t already enabled, click the ‘Enable Spaces’ toggle so it is set to the on position (shows blue).

  5. Click the Add Space button. A new space will appear in the list.

  6. Click to the right of white circle to give the new space a name.

  7. Click the white circle icon to the left of the space name and pick an icon and a colour. Click off the icon pop up to return to the space menu.

You have now created the space and it will appear in your main menu on the left of the window. The next step is to configure the space.

Configuring a single Space

Select the space you want to configure and then click on Configure in the top right. The ‘Configure space’ menu will open.

The Enable presence toggle allows you to see who else is also viewing the space.

To enable presence:

  1. Select the toggle next to Enable presence to enable it. (Blue is on, grey is off).

Sections

Sections allow you to organise the cards in your space into groups relevant to the section title.

To add a new section:

  1. Select + Add section.
  2. Give the section a title by selecting it.

Configuring multiple Spaces

You can also configure multiple spaces via the Organisation Configure option. 

  1. Locate your organisation in the relevant list from the menu on the left and click to open it.

  2. Click the ‘Configure’ button in the header area (top right). The Configuration panel will slide out from the right.

  3.  Select the cog icon next to the space you would like to configure. The Configure space panel will open and allow you to edit the selected space. 
  4. Repeat this process for each space you would like to configure.
