How to create a space

Enhance your navigation experience by creating and adding unique spaces to your main menu

Creating a space

Spaces are quick links that appear in the main menu (left side of the app). They allow you to quickly navigate to a list of Cards, People, Templates, Stories, Organisations, or Groups etc.

Creating a Space

To create a new space on your organisation/group:

  1. On the left hand side menu, select Settings

  2. If spaces aren’t already enabled, click the ‘Enable Spaces’ toggle so it is set to the on position (shows blue).

  3. Click the Add Space button. A new space will appear in the list.

  4. Click to the right of white circle to give the new space a name.

  5. Click the white circle icon to the left of the space name and pick an icon and a colour. Click off the icon pop up to return to the space menu.

You have now created the space and it will appear in your main menu under the "Your spaces" header. The next step is to configure the space.

Configuring a Space

Click on Configure in the top right. The ‘Configure space’ menu will open.

Sections

Sections allow you to organise the cards in your space into groups relevant to the section title.

To add a new section:

  1. Select + Add section.
  2. Give the section a title by selecting it.

Tiles

This toggle displays numbers next to content added to the space. Starting from 1, as new content is added to the space, this number increments so you can reference content by a number, instead of it's title or label.

To enable tile numbers:

  1. Select the toggle next to Show tile numbers to enable it. (Blue is on, grey is off).

Icon

Configure the icon you would like to represent your space by selecting an icon from the library and choosing a colour.

To configure your space's Icon:

  1. Select the white placeholder circle to bring up the Icon library.
  2. Search for and select an Icon.
  3. Select a colour.

Who's here

The Enable presence toggle allows you to see who else is also viewing the space.

To enable presence:

  1. Select the toggle next to Enable presence to enable it. (Blue is on, grey is off).
